Loving the Gone:

an online pet loss memory circle

This dedicated 90-minute gathering holds intentional space and shared resonance for the vast absence left behind when the heartbeat central to your world quietens.

It is an opportunity to cradle the sacred memory of your beloved animal companion and find steady ground through guided memorial meditation and collective reverence. Together, we create an enduring, internal sanctuary to keep their spirit close.

The flow moves between the silence of the heart and the breath of the circle, balancing private reflection with a shared sense of belonging. The ache each of us carries here is evidence of loving deeply; it is the soulful rhythm of a connection so profound it rewrites our story forever. Your heartbreak matters and your unique expression of love and loss is welcome here.

“Every tear is a tribute. Every ache is an echo of connection. We grieve because we dared to love, and because we are still loving - even in absence. Grief in this way becomes a quiet hymn of devotion. It keeps the bond alive.

It reminds us that what we shared mattered.”

~ Francis Weller

Your grief has a place here

We gather to remember and grieve the animal loves who have walked their earth-side lifetime beside us, offering companionship, guidance and love like no other. This gentle circle recognises your relationship is sacred, life-changing and worthy of ritual and remembrance.

Your shared bond is eternal, woven from threads of trust, devotion and enduring love. You carry that which cannot be fixed. We gather to cherish the magnitude of that unbreakable connection, held always in the soul, to grieve in a space that needs no validation.

If you have loved and lost your animal companion and feel that grief in your bones, you belong here. You don’t need experience with griefwork to join. Curiosity, willingness, the love in your heart and a longing to remember your way to settled ground are simply all that is required.

Elements of the Gathering

  • Settle into a protected, quiet and non-judgmental digital sanctuary. Land in steadfast presence and intentional pockets of silence without the need for words or performance. There is no need to speak, introduce yourself, or "check in." You are welcome exactly as you are.

  • During our time together, there is no requirement upon you to talk or share. Instead, we offer the quiet gift of shared presence and compassionate understanding to each other. Even in silence, we acknowledge the magnitude of one another’s loss and find a space to simply be with the heartbreak, free from the pressure to explain, justify, or fix.

  • Grounding is not about getting rid of grief, but rather supporting the body to stay present enough to feel, safely. Compassionately explore your definition of steadiness through gentle breath and guided movement. Also, at any time, responsive movement—swaying, stretching, or shifting is welcome—to intuitively soothe and hold the heart tenderly. Moving naturally and with agency can help soften the tension grief can stow in the body, creating a more fluid and nurtured internal experience.

  • Your facilitator will lead the entire 90-minute journey, moving through grounding and a guided meditation. Rest in the shared resonance and kindred understanding of those sharing your circle. You don't need any prior experience with meditation or griefwork to participate.

  • Every part of this session is an invitation. You have the autonomy to engage in whatever ways feel right in the moment, including whether you keep your camera on or off. In this space, tears are welcome and never seen as something to be 'fixed.' If you need to step away or simply sit in the release, the space is held for you to do so safely.

Your Facilitator

With a background in somatics and mindful movement, Kate has long held inquiries of the human experience in soft, safe and curious spaces. As a certified pet loss coach and grief tender, she weaves these threads together to provide compassionate support and a steady presence for pet parents navigating the loss of a beloved companion. She offers intentional environments where grief can be deeply acknowledged, witnessed, and welcomed.

Dedicated fur mum to Sapphi, Pickle, and her forever-cherished sky dog, Paddington, Kate has experienced first-hand the profound joys and depths of heartbreak that come with loving deeply. She understands the tender intricacies of the human-animal bond with the soul-deep resonance only a fellow guardian can. Guided by this lived experience and a commitment to trauma-informed, human-centric facilitation, she integrates breath, gentle embodiment and heart-led ceremony to create a sanctuary for others to honour their pets, the sacredness of their own unique grief, and to traverse the landscape of loss with kindred community.

  • "I carry you in my veins, in my bones, in the places no one else can see. Losing you didn’t take you from me. It made you a part of me forever, stitched into my very being. Everything I do is touched by your memory and every step forwards is taken with you still beside me."
